Update from the Principal
Dear Parents,
We have had a busy week with events, presentations and progress in our shorter week! As in the picture above, I try to join in as much as possible, even when things don’t go well. Lifelong learning and having a growth mindset is for us all…
Thank you to parents for attending the Under 14 Badminton tournament last week, the amazing Nadeen School Celebration picnic, the Matilda Rehearsals (Friday) and also the Football festival on Saturday. Some great events and opportunities for everyone to be a part of. We have now reached the end of our major outdoor events as we move into the summer period at Nadeen School. As we look back we can celebrate many weekends and evenings packed full of gatherings and exciting times for our staff, students and parents. Thank you for your support throughout all of the events this year, it is very much appreciated. With lots of indoor events, presentations and activities to look forward to over the coming months!
We’ve started off by celebrating Deaf Awareness Week and this is something that as a school we place great importance on as it is another opportunity for our students to learn, appreciate and understand others.
Congratulations to all students in Year 6 and 9 for finishing their checkpoint examinations! The last papers were packed and sent off to get assessed. We look forward to an excellent set of results and will celebrate all achievements by all of our students! We are proud of all of our students and the academic progress we have seen this year has been outstanding across all of the core subjects. As our students move through the school they are consistently working above the age-related expectations of the UK.
It has been a great week of learning as we celebrate academic progress by handing out Greater Depth Attainment, Gifted and Talented, Progress, Arabic and Maths certificates today. We had 8 bronze awards and 1 silver award in the UK Maths Trust competitions across Primary and Secondary. All great achievements, one of these awards was attained by a Year 5 student that entered into the competition for Year 8 and below. An incredible performance by all of our students!
Thank you to parents for attending the Year 2 Chromebook presentation. Always an informative event and you can find more information on our Esafety page on the website: https://www.nadeenschool.com/esafety/
We’ve now finished our 2 new MakerSpace rooms for design technology and for IT. This can be used for designing products and then creating models and final versions using a range of new tools and resources. We have 3 more rooms to complete and add a whole host of new machines and items. When complete, we can offer construction, wood/metal work, prototyping, 3D printing, robotics and coding. Please see the pictures below.
We have our next Open Day on Monday 6th May! We look forward to seeing everyone attend and to share what our amazing students do each day. To RSVP, please click here.
Have a great weekend!

If you change any contact details, please inform the school immediately.
Health and Safety
All urgent Health and Safety announcements will be sent directly to parents via email.
We will continue to work together to follow all health and precautionary measures to prevent the spread of diseases as recommended by the Ministry of Health specialists. Together with your constant cooperation and taking responsibility by keeping your children at home when feeling ill, will also have a significant impact in limiting the spread of diseases. Thank you to all members of the community in advance for this.
Please keep your child at home if he/she is ill, has flu or cold symptoms

Virtual Learning
Last year it was announced that it is no longer mandatory for schools to provide Virtual Learning for students, shared by the Ministry of Education in August 2022.
The Ministry of Education has announced that the syllabus system for the coming academic year 2022/23 in all kindergartens, schools, universities, government and private educational institutions at all stages will be mandatory attendance for all students. The ministry clarified that there would be no choice for parents to attend their children to receive in-person or remotely learning, assuring its keenness to provide for all the requirements for a successful back to school.
At Nadeen School, following the announcement from the Ministry above, our provision for learning will be on site.
