School Leadership Team

Dr Paul Walton is an experienced international school leader with a dual Doctorate, Doctor of Education and Doctor of Educational Leadership and Management.  His qualifications from the UK, include a school headship qualification NPQH and the senior leadership NPQSL.  He has a PGCE from Brighton University and a BSc Information Technology and a MA in Education.  He is a Fellow of three associations including: the Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturing and Commerce, the Chartered College of Teaching and a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management.  He is a qualified leadership coach and completed extensive UK and international school inspection training.

Paul joined Nadeen School from the British International School of Ljubljana, Slovenia where he led the school as Principal to achieve an ‘Outstanding’ rating each category during a 2021 BSO inspection.  During his tenure, the school was awarded COBIS accredited member, the highest rating of an ‘Exemplar’ accreditation by the UK BELL Foundation, two international curriculum awards and UK and international wellbeing awards.  Previous to this, he was a Principal at an outstanding school in Malaysia and had leadership roles in Houston and Hungary after leaving the UK as a school leader of 10 years.

Paul is fascinated by providing all students with exciting learning opportunities at school, through innovation, creativity and imagination based on education research.  He is deeply committed to the values of international education, ensuring all students can be compassionate, thoughtful and ambitious to follow any goal and passion they desire.  Paul in his time outside of school is involved in volunteer work and is also passionate about sport including football, snowboarding and running.  He’s keen to develop his skills in cooking as he enjoys to embrace a new challenge, perseveres to improve and loves to keep learning.

Stephanie Andronikos is an international educator who has worked in top private schools around the world. She has graduated from a Brisbane Secondary School and achieved her Bachelor of Education and then her Graduate Certificate of Leadership in Education at QUT University in Queensland. She has also completed her NPQSL qualification via the UK.

Stephanie worked across Primary and Secondary in a leading private school for 10 years in Brisbane, Australia, before moving to Slovenia and the British International School of Ljubljana.  Working together with Principal, Paul Walton, Stephanie worked for 4 years as a Secondary Mathematics teacher and Head of Secondary, aiding in achieving ‘Outstanding’ in every category in the 2021 BSO Inspection.

Passionate about teaching and education, Stephanie specialises in transitioning students to Secondary in an all-through school setting, preparing them fully for Secondary school life.  Academic achievement is just one of the many aspects of development in school, and she believes in getting to know her students, their interests and developing rapport to ensure that students feel fully supported throughout their development in Secondary.  Outside of school, Stephanie enjoys getting out in the sunshine, meeting with friends, baking and also latin dancing when she gets the chance.  Keen to explore all of the wonderful flavours Bahrain has to offer, she is excited to try something new and explore experiences outside of her comfort zone.

Lauren Brown is an international educator who has taught in a variety of different school settings, both in her home country England and in Texas, United States of America.

She grew up in Bolton near Manchester, England. Lauren graduated from Liverpool Hope University in 2009 with a degree in Primary Education with English Language and Qualified Teacher Status. She worked in a community primary school in Bolton for over five years, working in Early Years and Year Two. During this time, Lauren became Early Years Lead and then Key Stage One Lead. She also worked as part of the Safeguarding Team.

In 2015 Lauren made the move to Houston, Texas working at the British International School of Houston. Lauren worked as part of the Year Three team, being part of an innovative new curriculum (TMC Young Inventors) working alongside Texas Medical Centre.

Lauren moved back to England, and whilst working for the past five years got married and had two girls. In her last school, she supported staff with a variety of areas of the curriculum including phonics, science and English.

In 2023, Lauren made the move to Bahrain to join Nadeen as Head of Primary. She is keen to support the children across the school, build positive relationships with staff and families in order to ensure Nadeen continues to be a child-centred outstanding school. Lauren is responsible for curriculum within school, implementing and embedding new systems and supporting Middle Leaders. She also works as part of the safeguarding team.

She moved to Bahrain with her husband and two daughters, who have also joined the school. On the weekend she loves to spend time with her family, going to the beach, swimming, cooking and discovering new places.

Kate Fellowes has lived in Bahrain for over 20 years, growing up here and experiencing the international education system herself. She is a long standing member of the Nadeen community having worked at the school for over 10 years. She completed a BSc Applied Geography from Bournemouth University. Kate began her Nadeen journey as a member of the administration team and went on to complete her PGCE from the University of Buckingham instilling a whole-school approach to not only her teaching but her leadership style. Kate has been a member of our school leadership team for several years and brings an enthusiastic and extremely Nadeen-centered approach.

Kate has worked with children across all year groups with a focus on Key Stage 1. She has a passion for pastoral care, understanding the importance of children feeling happy and safe in school. She drives forward pastoral care as the heart of what makes this school a family. She is also a certified Designated Safeguarding Leader and part of the school’s Safeguarding team. Kate truly believes in an inclusive community and ensures the physical and emotional well-being is at the forefront of education.

Outside of school, Kate is interested in keeping active through walks, especially with her rescue dogs, gym with her friends and being a part of the Bahrain netball community. She has a passion for all animals and this is evident with her current total of adopting nine animals, often visiting and supporting rescue shelters here in Bahrain.

Kate is excited for the next steps along Nadeen’s journey and seeing the concept from years ago finally coming into tangible fruition.

Agnes is a native of Northern Ireland and joined Nadeen in the Summer of 2021.  She is a teacher with some twenty-eight years’ experience in Education, twenty-two as a SENCO and 6 as the Principal of a Primary School.

Agnes is a graduate of Queens University Belfast and The University of Ulster in Belfast, along with a postgraduate from The University of Wales in Aberystwyth; studying a Bachelor of Science, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education, and completing a Masters in Education with Special Educational Needs and the main subject.  Her teaching life has been peppered with multiple postgraduate courses including The Certificate of Competency in Educational Testing (CCET) and an Advanced Diploma in Inclusion with the main focus areas of Autism and dyslexia.

She has worked across all Primary sectors and is passionate about developing an Inclusive school for all pupils and their families.  Agnes is also a member of the Safeguarding Team in Nadeen and a member of the Board of Governors.  Outside school Agnes enjoys keeping physically and emotionally fit.

She likes to disseminate and model a very positive attitude to life, both at work and outside working hard to problem solve, and overcome obstacles and adversity in a manner commensurate with everyone’s wellbeing.  She is very much looking forward to the new school development in Dilmunia!

Emma grew up in the North East of England by the sea. She had the privilege of attending a child-centred Primary School and this has shaped her into the educator and leader she has become. Finding a school like Nadeen School with a similar ethos to her own Primary School has been a priority in her career choices. Emma graduated in 2004 from Trinity and All Saints in Leeds with a BEd in Primary School Education. After three years teaching Key Stage 2 at a Primary School in Bradford, Emma took a leadership role with Education Bradford. This involved leading a project on community cohesion which became a national initiative in England. Emma spent the next two years delivering training to support schools in setting up similar projects in their own local authorities.

In 2009, Emma decided to try International School teaching and she found a child-centred school In Bangkok where she spent the next four years teaching in Early Years and Primary School. In 2013, Emma moved to Budapest to take on the role of Early Years Teacher and Leader for Learning. The following year, Emma took on the leadership of the new Early Years unit. During her time in Budapest, Emma studied Middle Leadership and a Masters in International Education with King’s College London. In addition she led the Early Years Team through two International Accreditations with excellent outcomes for her department. Emma has published articles and spoken at conferences and online webinars on the subject of Early Years Pedagogy.

Emma has a passion for child-centred learning. With her role as Head of Teaching and Learning she looks forward to supporting staff to embed opportunities for students at Nadeen to take a lead in their learning at the new Dilmunia Campus.

Outside of school, Emma enjoys an outdoor lifestyle of swimming, diving, yoga, rock climbing, snowboarding and spending time at the beach with her family and dog. Emma enjoys baking, cooking and trying new foods!
