Update from the Principal.
Dear Parents,
We’ve added the joyful music back to drop off in the morning as we aim to start the day with a smile, song, energy, and on the right note… (out of key on my part!).
This week, we’ve seen the students from Primary and Secondary apply for the leadership positions at school and have the opportunity to talk about what they would offer and model for the rest of the community to follow. We have inspirational students at Nadeen School and I can’t wait to see what ideas the new student council comes up with this term. In assembly, the students were presented with certificates, we enjoyed a wonderful music performance, and also Mr Kyle announced the launch of the very much anticipated Ski Trip. A wonderful international trip for our students to experience and learn so much from. These trips, activities, and learning beyond the classroom help our students develop in many different ways.
Yesterday, we celebrated Roald Dahl Day. For me a very special day as it boosts our focus on literacy, reading, and imagination which I believe are very important. In addition to this, I have very fond memories of reading as a child on my own numerous books by Roald Dahl. My favourite was ‘Danny Champion of the World’, this was the first book I remember reading all the way through on my own, dreaming of what the story was about, what would happen next, and the adventures that lay ahead. Reading is a passion of mine and these awareness days help bring that to the forefront. We celebrated Roald Dahl today, whoever your favourite author is, pick up that book and share it with a family member or a friend! They can be inspirational and life-changing.
In the past few days, we have increased our Extracurricular activities provision from 58 activities to 63 activities now. This continues to grow and it is a very welcome boost. As a school, we continue to place a great importance on Extracurricular Activities as we believe that these opportunities extend learning beyond the classroom and dovetail beautifully with our Holistic educational approach.
Yesterday, we had amazing confirmation that Nadeen School is now a Google for Education Reference School.
More information will be sent out in the coming days about this great news. This is another huge achievement by the school and the last 12-18 months has seen yet more accreditations and international recognition for the school through awards and accreditations. Please click here to see a list of our awards and accreditations. These are used as a benchmark and quality assurance to show the premium level of education that is offered by the school. It is something that we have all taken great pride in achieving and by operating at this outstanding level ultimately benefits our students and their learning.
We have looked at other private bus services for the routes that Almoayed Transport is unable to offer to parents who reside in Riffa, Sitra, and Isa Town areas. Please contact Ms Zahra Taher or Ms Khadija Taher from Al Sadiq Transport for more information. You may reach them via email at accounts1@alsadiqbh.com or accounts@alsadiqbh.com and through mobile or whatsapp on +973 1700 1778.
If you have any questions about the private buses please email: H.Chilwan@nadeenschool.com
Today, after assembly and visiting classes I am off to attend a graduation ceremony held at the university to celebrate the accomplishments of one of our members of staff who has just completed an internationally recognised teaching and learning course. We are very proud and continually place great importance on staff development and continued lifelong learning. As role models for our students, it is important that we lead by example and demonstrate this love for learning!
Have a great weekend!

Virtual Learning
Last year it was announced that it is no longer mandatory for schools to provide Virtual Learning for students, shared by the Ministry of Education in August 2022.
The Ministry of Education has announced that the syllabus system for the coming academic year 2022/23 in all kindergartens, schools, universities, government and private educational institutions at all stages will be mandatory attendance for all students. The ministry clarified that there would be no choice for parents to attend their children to receive in-person or remotely learning, assuring its keenness to provide for all the requirements for a successful back to school.
At Nadeen School, following the announcement from the Ministry above, our provision for learning will be on site.
