Update from the Principal – 30th November

Update from the Principal.

Dear Parents,

Today is Bahraini Woman’s day and a wonderful occasion to celebrate all women at school. We have been inspired by examples and historic moments as well as personal memories of Bahraini women. A fantastic way to finish our week to show respect and admiration for all. Our Book Fair has been ongoing this week and an excellent opportunity for students to pop in and buy their favourite titles and inspire everyone to read. Thank you for your support with this book fair and we look forward to our next book fair event!

Our trips and external visits are now in full swing and we’ve enjoyed a range of various visits throughout the week and love to see our students enjoy learning beyond the classroom and having fun. Many of these have been shared through weekly emails and on social media. They have been great and we are grateful for our team of staff for supporting the students during these excursions off the campus.

Our Under 14 boys volleyball team played last night and did the school proud with their energy, fairplay and passion. With a huge crowd of parents, teachers and students, the Nadeen Wolves were cheered on throughout the games and performed exceptionally well. I believe our biggest cheer of the night was when the boys won their first game and everyone was so proud and happy to see them enjoy this momentous occasion. Following on from the girls under 14 volleyball team that played two weeks ago. This shows that we have many excited students that are interested in sports and clubs at Nadeen School. Well done to everyone involved!

We had a follow up meeting with the food company Calo. Thank you to all parents who have expressed interest in this service. We will send out information soon to everyone as we move ahead with this in the coming weeks.

We are happy to announce that the Term 2 ECAs are now open for registration. Please see the list of ECAs here. Once you have looked at all the options, please click here to sign up by no later than 7 Dec 2023.

Next Week, we have our Sports Days, IPC exit points, Bake Sale and International Hour of Code. As always, lots to get involved in for our students and community.

Have a great weekend!

Urgent Communication

All urgent updates continue to be sent via email or SMS for emergencies (School Closure).

Please monitor your emails for future updates as this continues to be the best way to send out clear and consistent communication to all parents. Check that you are receiving emails, have enough space in your email folder, that they do not go to your ‘junk’ folder and if you are unsure, please contact info@nadeenschool.com, see reception or phone on +97317728886 to personally check your contact email and phone number on record.

If you change any contact details, please inform the school immediately.

Health and Safety

All urgent Health and Safety announcements will be sent directly to parents via email.

We will continue to work together to follow all health and precautionary measures to prevent the spread of diseases as recommended by the Ministry of Health specialists. Together with your constant cooperation and taking responsibility by keeping your children at home when feeling ill, will also have a significant impact in limiting the spread of diseases.  Thank you to all members of the community in advance for this.

Please keep your child at home if he/she is ill, has flu or cold symptoms

Virtual Learning

Last year it was announced that it is no longer mandatory for schools to provide Virtual Learning for students, shared by the Ministry of Education in August 2022.

The Ministry of Education has announced that the syllabus system for the coming academic year 2022/23 in all kindergartens, schools, universities, government and private educational institutions at all stages will be mandatory attendance for all students.  The ministry clarified that there would be no choice for parents to attend their children to receive in-person or remotely learning, assuring its keenness to provide for all the requirements for a successful back to school.

At Nadeen School, following the announcement from the Ministry above, our provision for learning will be on site.
