Update from the Principal – 23rd May

Update from the Principal

Dear Parents,

We have enjoyed a great week at school, celebrating our first ever Nadeen School Swim meet last weekend on Saturday 18th May. Thank you to all parents that came along to support, the atmosphere was fantastic as all competitors had a huge amount of encouragement from the stands.  Well done to every single student from Nadeen School and visiting schools for a tremendous effort during the morning. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting this event and celebrated with a team win. Congratulations to the Nadeen Key Stage 3 team for being crowned the overall winners!

The progress made by students in the pool is remarkable. Thank you to all parents for supporting the early morning swim sessions, training and trials, etc. Our students have very much enjoyed this and have come such a long way in a short period of time.

We all would like to give a very special thank you to Mr Ramil. He has been a stand out star throughout the year working with all students, building belief, showing true patience and doing every session with a humble, positive and hard working approach. We are thrilled to have such an amazing professional working with our students at Nadeen School. Thank you Mr Ramil.

A huge thank you to Mr Matt for organising another inaugural, high quality sports event! This really was a brilliant occasion to bring our students, families and other schools together in a competitive and exciting swim event. Thank you to the PE staff, teachers and supporters. We look forward to the Nadeen School Trophy parade on Thursday 30th May!

This week we had our first Science Fair in our new campus and it was an amazing event for students and families alike! Congratulations to all students who participated for showcasing their incredible experiments! Thank you to all parents who supported this event and a big thank you to Ms Sarah and Mr Phil W and the staff team for making this such a successful event!

Yesterday we hosted 4 other schools for the U14 Girls Basketball Tournament. Once again, Nadeen were victorious and came away undefeated winning the trophy! Congratulations to our students for showing such amazing teamwork and determination and thank you to the visiting schools, referees, parents and supporters for creating a fantastic atmosphere at the event.

Another fantastic book fair this week and a great opportunity to encourage our students to read and to develop their literacy skills! Thank you!

Thank you to the staff for organising amazing exit points this week, a time to share learning and to celebrate the end of the unit with students, teachers and families. The exit points have come in a wide range of formats this year and the variety of these has been fantastic.

Virtual Learning

Last year it was announced that it is no longer mandatory for schools to provide Virtual Learning for students, shared by the Ministry of Education in August 2022.

The Ministry of Education has announced that the syllabus system for the coming academic year 2022/23 in all kindergartens, schools, universities, government and private educational institutions at all stages will be mandatory attendance for all students.  The ministry clarified that there would be no choice for parents to attend their children to receive in-person or remotely learning, assuring its keenness to provide for all the requirements for a successful back to school.

At Nadeen School, following the announcement from the Ministry above, our provision for learning will be on site.
