First Day – Welcome Back!
Dear Parents,
We are very excited about the upcoming first day back at school on Sunday 28th August. It’s an exciting year ahead, and we are delighted to be back on site with full events and looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
Please see below information that might be helpful for the start of the school year:

2. Key Times
Drop off 7.35am to 8.00am
Start of School Day 8.00am
Pick up (Nursery 12.45pm, Reception through to Year 7) 2.00pm

Tuesday 30th August – Meet the Teacher/Curriculum evening (a session for parents to find out what the students will be learning and opportunity to ask any individual or day to day questions).
An opportunity for parents to come into school and to meet the teachers for the new academic year ahead. Class teachers will talk through the following information below and you will be able to see the classrooms, receive information for Term 1 and to ask any questions that you may have. There will be two presentations delivered by our new Principal Mr. Paul and then sessions from the class teachers in the classrooms your children will use during the school year!
5.00pm – Presentation from Mr. Paul in the Windsor room at the nearby British Club, for all Early Years (Nursery and Reception) and Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2) parents.
Then proceed with class teachers to the classrooms (around 5.20pm) for a ‘Meet the Teacher presentation’:
- Introduction from the Teacher
- School Routines
- Curriculum
- Communication
Closing with an opportunity for parents to ask questions and further discussion at the end of the presentation. A copy of the presentation will be emailed home by the class teacher to all parents in class (and for non attendees).

The event will end at 7.00pm.

Wednesday 31st August – Music/Sport and After school club presentation for Parents and Students (A presentation to introduce the after school provision and opportunity to ask about clubs, activities etc).
Thursday 1st September – Coffee with the Principal (Mr Paul will go through updates from the school, a look at what is coming up, priorities and a chance for parents to meet and mingle with others).
4. Parents accompanying students onsite
Morning drop off
All parents can accompany children on to the school site for the first week after they start. For example, if your child starts on Sunday 28th August, you can accompany your child every day until Thursday 1st September. This will help all students and families settle into the new school year.
Parents of children from Nursery to Year 1, are welcome to walk in with your children each day after this first week.
Year 1 to Year 7 can use the drive through drop off anytime. Children in EY can be dropped off if accompanied by an older sibling (Please confirm via email to your child’s teacher prior to this).
All families will enter and leave the school through gate 2.
Afternoon pick up
Parents of children from Nursery to Year 2 will collect their children directly from their classrooms at 2:00 pm.
Year 3 to Year 7 will come onsite and collect their children from the playground. (Year 4 from the Creative Area).
All families will enter and leave via gate 2.
5. Teacher Introductions
All parents should now have had an introduction email from the class teachers, including an email contact, upcoming events and a welcome.

7. School Uniform
Students should be in full uniform please for the first day back.
8. Uniform Sale (Lightly used)
We are happy to announce that we will have a uniform sale on Thursday 25th August at 9.00am to 12.00pm.
9. Equipment
Students will need a pencil case, water bottle, hat, and lunch. Year 3 and higher will have a chromebook.
10. Communication
- Each week, teachers will send a weekly email on a Thursday with an update to all parents (including photos).
- All class teacher emails have been shared with parents for any questions.
- Facebook and Instagram social media pages to see the latest photos, posts and updates of what our students are doing, learning and celebrating.
- The Latest news and events are on our website.
11. School Calendar
This calendar is available from the school website, including all national holidays, breaks and term dates.
12. Extra-Curricular Activities
These are being collated now and we have an Extra-Curricular Activities event on Wednesday 31st August to give you an update. We aim to start all clubs in September and information will be sent out directly to parents with sign up instructions.

14. Health and Safety
All Health and Safety announcements will be sent directly to parents via email.
15. Urgent Communication
All urgent updates continue to be sent via email or SMS for emergencies (School Closure).
Please monitor your emails for future updates as this continues to be the best way to send out clear and consistent communication to all parents. Check that you are receiving emails, have enough space in your email folder, that they do not go to your ‘junk’ folder and if you are unsure, please contact info@nadeenschool.com, see reception or phone on +97317728886 to personally check your contact email and phone number on record.
