Looking Forward to the New School Year 2022/23 – 14 June 2022

Update from the incoming Principal

Dear Parents,

Following on from my visit to Nadeen School in February and email earlier in the year, I thought I would write again before we all complete this academic year 2021-22 and share with you with a few important updates before we head into the summer.

1. New staffing. We are delighted to welcome the following new staff members to Nadeen School and warmly welcome them into our community:

Head of Secondary/Year 7 lead – Stephanie Andronikos

Early Years Teacher – Fatima Loonat

Primary Teachers – Rosalyn Williamson, Gabriella Pearson, Stewart Doran

Additionally, huge congratulations to Kacey Greig who will has been promoted to our New Head of Early Years!

2. Building updates. Please follow our Facebook and Instagram pages to see the latest photos, posts and updates about our new school campus in Dilmunia.  It looks incredible and it is great to see the progress each week of everything coming together.

3. Communication. I will be arriving in Bahrain at the start of July. My email address is p.walton@nadeeninternationalschool.com and I will be popping into school throughout July and August to get a head start and prepare for the upcoming academic year to make it as smooth as possible.  I will set up some coffee mornings, presentations, and meetings to see as many parents as possible over the first term at school when the students arrive back.  I am sure we will have a lot to share and to talk about!

Once again, a big thank you to all parents who I met during February.  It was such a wonderful visit to the school, to speak to families in Year 5/6, many families at drop off and pick up.

I am very excited to be joining the school and see great opportunities ahead for our community and most important of all, our students.  With the new building, this adds to the strengths of the school already in the place, the caring and dedicated staff, supportive and positive families, and our amazing and enthusiastic students.  Nadeen School is truly a ‘unique school’.  We aim to take our special approach and feel with us into the new campus and have many ideas to do this!

I’d like to thank all the staff in the school for their time and support over the past six months as we have had many online meetings, presentations, and discussions over what we can do moving forward as a school.  Also, a special thank you to Ms Elaine for her help in this transition as I join the school.  I really appreciate this and the help, support, and kindness I have received so far.  It’s been fantastic, thank you!

I hope your children have a wonderful summer and most of all, I look forward to meeting all students in the school and finding out more about how they learn, what they enjoy, what makes them happy, their passions, interests and to get to know them.

We have a lot of work ahead moving into a new campus (I have led two schools into new sites) and we will have a lot of challenges to face together, but I know if will be worth it to see the fabulous learning opportunities that our students will have! Also, the wider variety of facilities to use for staff, our families and of course our community.  I cannot wait to arrive and to see everyone.

Have a great weekend, enjoy your summer and I look forward to speaking to you from August!
