Teacher Feature – Miss Ellie

Briefly describe your journey as a teacher.

I began my teaching career six years ago after completing my PGDE at Liverpool John Moores University. I taught in the UK for a year before beginning my teaching journey in Bahrain. I have been very lucky to teach Reception to Year 3 children and I have loved watching them explore, create and master new skills with each year group.

Why did you decide to specialise in your chosen area?

I decided to specialise in Early Years as I have always loved learning through play. Watching the children create a new world with their imagination is so exciting. Teaching them new skills at the start of their educational journey is very rewarding!

What makes Nadeen such a unique place to work?

Nadeen school is a welcoming and inclusive community and this is what makes this place so special. With a brand new campus, each child (in all year groups) can explore and create in different spaces and enjoy their learning experience.

How would you describe a typical day at Nadeen?

As a teacher in Early Years, everyday is a little bit different! I always start my day the same way by greeting staff and children with a wave and a friendly good morning! We spend our day exploring and playing in a collaboration area, our excellent outdoor space and of course our classroom. I love to sing and dance so you can always find us singing our hearts out and boogieing the day away! When the day comes to an end, we enjoy some calm time with a lovely story before we say our goodbyes!
