Student Voice – Year 5

What are you Passionate About? – Year 5

Pollution is really harmful to the environment and us, people. There are four types of pollution: air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution and noise pollution. This pollution is damaging our whole environment.

None of us want pollution because it will harm us. I am extremely passionate about saving our environment, and I would like to focus on reducing plastic pollution, in particular.  Plastic is non biodegradable waste means it is not decaying even in so many years. Plastic is a problem because it’s poisonous to our health. It can affect us adversely if we don’t dispose the plastic properly. The natural resources will also be poisoned because of plastic. Unfortunately, the natural environments for animals are polluted with plastic because some people throw plastic everywhere. It can also cause the animals to suffer and die if they cannot get out from the plastic trap. When we throw plastic in the seas, oceans, lakes and rivers, the sea creatures and different kinds of animals will be poisoned and their habitat will be damaged.

As a student, I will always do my best to recycle, reduce, and reuse the plastic. It is a small gesture from my side that can save our environment. When I see plastic on the road, I always dispose it in a proper way. Let’s do what we can to save our environment from plastic pollution. Save our planet to have a better place to live in the present and the future.  Let us not wait until tomorrow to take some action;  do it now so it will help to save our environment.

Our Student Voice series of articles at Nadeen School, are used to enable our students to express an opinion, celebrate their learning and most of all enjoy a holistic education as a part of Our Philosophy.  We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we enjoy seeing our students write these.
