Nadeen School TeachMeet February 2024

Nadeen School TeachMeet February 2024 by Miss Emma

The TeachMeet Bahrain 2024, was a resounding success bringing together over 150 passionate educators from various settings around the Kingdom of Bahrain!

On Tuesday 13th February, we proudly hosted the first ever TeachMeet Bahrain at Nadeen School and in our new state-of-the-art campus in Dilmunia. We opened our doors to participants representing universities, public/private schools and Early Years settings from across Bahrain. This event was designed to positively impact the professional development, student learning and education across the entire country under the vision:

To bring passionate Educators together for the benefit of all students

To launch this ongoing series of events, the Nadeen School Performance Theatre, welcomed speakers to the stage for the first time to an external audience. Following speakers on the stage, participants had the opportunity to choose from 12 workshops from school leaders and teachers from Bahrain’s outstanding International Schools, including teachers and leaders from Nadeen School. The sessions were facilitated to ensure we could open a dialogue between educators across Bahrain to talk about important topics such as early brain development, sustainability in education, teaching and learning strategies, coaching for leadership, and much more!

The event included networking sessions and gifts for all attendees. The event ended with an award ceremony for all of the speakers and a prize draw with donated prizes from businesses such as Art Hotel, Dough Boat, Reef Island, 24N, Gulf Hotel and Suites, Bushido, Dilmunia Mall, and The Diplomat Radisson Blu. This was an opportunity to invite all educators from around the country and bring everyone together for a single purpose and to create a network of collaborators who are passionate about education.

To host such a special event is an absolute honour and privilege. We were delighted to welcome everyone to our new campus and to create a platform in which amazing, caring and dedicated professionals can connect together for the benefit of all students. An amazing collaboration of educators, who are truly inspiring and we look forward to our next event!

The feedback from the event has been overwhelmingly positive with many comments on the quality of the presentations, workshops and the impressive building facilities. Having a purpose-built school campus undoubtedly supported this exciting event with the use of the Performance Theatre, classrooms, breakout rooms and other areas. This provided many opportunities to share best practices, connect with others and foster a passionate network of teachers moving forward.

This event would not have been possible without the commitment, desire and energy from the speakers, workshop leaders and participants that created such a warm and productive evening. It has been wonderful to see educators bringing the best out of one another for the shared purpose of improving education for all.

Our next event is in May to ensure our vision lives on and we go from strength to strength to support the incredible students from around the Kingdom of Bahrain!

Attending the TeachMeet at Nadeen School created the opportunity to hear from a range of different people I wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to hear perspectives from. It was so valuable to hear from a range of ideas and experiences. This is especially important in a profession such as teaching.
