COBIS International Art Competition – 2022

COBIS International Art Competition 2022.

The deadline for the COBIS International Art Competition 2022 (Council of British International Schools) was on Monday, November 14th. Two entries were chosen from each Key Stage- Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, and Key Stage 3 to represent Nadeen School at this prestigious event.

There was an abundance of entries from students across the school!

We are delighted such amazing entries were created by our students.

This competition is a brilliant opportunity for our young artists to compete internationally and showcase their talent.

The students selected will now compete against over 400 international schools from around the globe.

The theme of the competition was ‘Who Am I?’. The judges had strict success criteria to follow. The students chosen to represent our school showed great imagination and originality. The level of technical challenge and the overall impact of the finished pieces were inspiring. We are extremely proud that our students demonstrated ‘Who Am I?’ through the medium of art.

Well done to all students that entered.

The students that have qualified for the COBIS Finals are:

Key Stage 1: Yasmine Year 1, Leen Year 2

Key Stage 2: Jiyul Year 6, Lila Year 6

Lila in Year 6, (Nadeen School Art Mentor), was delighted to be chosen.

Lila told her teacher, “I am thrilled to have been chosen. My art title is called  Sky: Children of the Light. It’s based on my favourite video game. The game is about exploring a fantasy world and meeting spirit friends along the way to the Eye of Eden.”

Jiyul in Year 6 also said, “My Art (Who Am I Butterfly) is inspired by the infinity symbol because I love Maths. I used the infinity sign to design a butterfly. Each wing is a symbol of something that I like to do.”

Everyone at Nadeen School wishes our students the very best of luck in the competition!

We hope you have enjoyed the selection of photos from the school representatives along with their impressive art entries.

We look forward to more competitions in the future, celebrating our wonderful students with their impressive creations!
