Mr. James Weekly Reflection – 7th November

Mr. James Weekly Reflection

Dear Nadeen Family,

I am excited to begin this week’s reflection by sharing our new Philosophy, soon to be displayed around our school and featured on our upcoming website. This Philosophy captures the essence of what we strive for at Nadeen:

“Fostering creative thinking and enterprising learning is essential to empowering individuals to grow and thrive in an ever-changing world. By encouraging curiosity, risk-taking, and problem-solving, we cultivate a mindset that embraces innovation and adapts to new challenges. Supporting learners in this journey involves creating environments where exploration is encouraged, diverse perspectives are valued, and failure is seen as a step toward success. As we inspire the next generation of Mavericks, we equip them with the skills and resilience needed to pursue their passions with purpose, helping them not only excel individually but also contribute meaningfully to society with a cause that drives them. By nurturing their potential, we unlock a future where creativity and entrepreneurship become catalysts for positive change.”

This Philosophy truly embodies what we envision for our learners – a commitment to both personal and societal impact, anchored in creativity and purpose.

On a lighter note, my favourite word of the week has been “Gobsmacked,” which Miss Claire, our wonderful PE and English teacher, used to describe the amazing talent and spirit we saw in sport this week. It perfectly sums up the awe we all felt!

In my weekly check-in with Mr. Kyle on his “wow moments,” he had much to share. Our swim squad delivered an outstanding performance at the recent meet hosted by the American School Bahrain, bringing home numerous medals across multiple events. Each swimmer demonstrated incredible resilience, focus, and teamwork, embodying the High Performance Learning attributes that define our program. Their commitment to excellence, strategic thinking, and continuous self-improvement shone as they pushed their limits and supported each other. This collective effort not only led to podium-worthy results but also showcased the strength and determination within our team.

Today’s remembrance assembly was a powerful, thought-provoking experience. Thank you to everyone involved! Miss Shanee, as always, delivered an impactful reading from her great-grandfather’s memoirs, and our learners did an incredible job hosting and leading the assembly.

Thank you all for your continued dedication to the Nadeen community and for the shared commitment to our Philosophy.
