Mr. James Weekly Reflection
Dear Nadeen Family
The week started with me flying in from the BSO conference, eagerly looking forward to all the wonderful events in school. The festive event at the British Embassy was just lovely and thank you to all the families who came to support. Your presence made it such a festive and heartwarming occasion! It certainly gave me all the Christmas feels, and I only wish my wife and daughter could have been there to enjoy it too. They arrived on Tuesday, and I’m thrilled they have been joining in the festivities this week, including Friday’s celebration, which I’m particularly looking forward to.
Wow, Just Wow!
Our wow moment this week has been the incredible way our learners have excelled during Sports Days. Their perseverance and resilience to achieve personal bests, coupled with remarkable sportsmanship, have been inspiring. Watching them embrace challenges, showcase exceptional skills, and support one another was a proud moment for our community. Well done to all!
Years 5 to Year 10 learners participated in an action-packed Sports Day at the Bahrain Rugby Club. It was a fantastic day of athletic challenges, team games, and abundant school spirit. From relay races and football to tug-of-war, the energy and enthusiasm were contagious. Competing in their house teams, learners demonstrated incredible teamwork, forming new bonds and strengthening friendships. The event concluded with an exciting awards ceremony, where the winning house was crowned champion. A huge congratulations to them!
A heartfelt thank you to the Bahrain Rugby Club for hosting us, and to our PE team for organising such a memorable event. Congratulations to all learners for their participation, energy, and effort. Look out for photos and highlights in next week’s bulletin! Closer to home, we hosted Sports Day for Years 3 and 4 here at Nadeen and the events were brimming with enthusiasm, teamwork, and a delightful display of sportsmanship. It was wonderful to see parents and staff cheering on learners and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere.
Adding to this week’s excitement, our primary learners attended a pantomime performance of The Jungle Book. This cultural experience brought the story to life, leaving learners buzzing with excitement and joy. Moments like these remind us of the richness that arts bring to our learning journey. My daughter commented to me that it was awesome whilst jumping in the air with excitement.
Looking ahead, we are gearing up for the Year 1 and 2 Sports Days next week, alongside the Primary Festive Singing. These events will continue to showcase the spirit, talent, and community that make Nadeen so special.
Finally, I’m delighted to share some great news: Mr. Darren Frearson will be staying on with us as Secondary Assistant Principal until the end of the academic year. Although Darren originally joined us on a short-term basis, he has enjoyed being part of our very special community and loves Nadeen. Darren has made a wonderful impression and is a fantastic addition to the Nadeen team.
Thank you all for another extraordinary week. Here’s to more moments of joy, growth, and celebration!
