Mr. James Weekly Reflection
Dear Nadeen Family,
Building a community of belonging and purpose is not just an aspiration at Nadeen—it is who we are. These words, belonging, togetherness, partnership, and excellence, are not simply expressions of our vision; they define our essence. For our learners, it means creating an environment where they feel seen, heard, and valued, while being guided toward their ambitions and dreams. In a world increasingly filled with uncertainty, I believe more than ever that it is crucial to equip our learners with a strong foundation of empathy, mental agility, and a deep understanding of what it means to work hard and stay focused on meaningful goals. These qualities, along with resilience and adaptability, are keys to their future success. Together, these are our HPL Values, Attitudes, and Attributes (VAAs), and I am impressed every day by the ways in which our learners embody them.
Today, as we marked our ‘Think Pink’ day to raise awareness of breast cancer and support ongoing research, I saw a community truly united in purpose. The care and involvement shown by all of you highlight our commitment to values like ‘concern for society’—one of our core VAAs. This is more than just an event; it’s a reflection of how we strive to make a difference in the world, both locally and globally.
“Nadeen School is a big family orientated community which has many different values. This academic year has started so positively with already lots of opportunities for us as the learners. We have welcomed many new learners and their families and they have immersed themselves into the environment really well. We also feel that all learners within the school are friendly to one another and feel part of a well-knitted community, where everyone can express their individuality whilst being together.”
– Armin and Ela, Head Boy and Head Girl (Year 10).
I often think: if we had the world’s attention for just 30 seconds, what would we say? I think my message would simply be that our children are the future, and through communities like ours, rooted in belonging and purpose, they will be equipped not only to succeed but to contribute meaningfully to the world. Together, we can guide them toward a lifetime of impact, compassion, and achievement.
A big thank you to the volunteers of the ‘Friends of Nadeen’ and to the rest of the community for your continued support, and bringing heart to this community.
