Mr. James Weekly Reflection – 26th September

Mr. James Weekly Reflection

Dear Nadeen Family,

It has been a very special week here at Nadeen, and I’m excited to share some highlights with you.

First, I’m thrilled to welcome our new addition to the Nadeen community, Arnold, affectionately known as Arnie! Miss Hannah brought Arnie to us through Bahrain Rescues, thanks to the support of Miss Alia, who was previously a Year 1 teacher at Nadeen. Bahrain Rescues does incredible work saving dogs, and if you’re in a position to adopt or foster, I encourage you to reach out to them or speak with Miss Hannah directly. A special thank you to Pet Arabia for generously supporting Arnie with bedding, grooming, and other essentials—you are truly amazing! We are all looking forward to Arnie’s adventures here, and he has already become a beloved member of our community. #belonging

This week, we also had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Mark Whitfield, one of our board members and a dear friend of Nadeen. His visit was both productive and inspiring as we discussed important aspects of school life, including our vision, core purpose, and learning experiences. We’re all excited about the journey ahead, and Mark especially enjoyed meeting some of our parents. A huge thank you to the parent group who took the time to meet with him—it was greatly appreciated!

I’d also like to remind you that we are in the process of reforming our PTA, ‘Friends of Nadeen.’ If you are interested in contributing to the shaping of our learners’ experiences, please don’t hesitate to contact Miss Hannah, my PA. I’ll be holding our first catch-up meeting next week, and I’d love to see many of you there.

I’ve received some wonderful feedback from this week’s IGCSE workshop and the Secondary Spotlight event, so thank you to everyone who attended. We are committed to inviting the community into school regularly, and I’m really enjoying the opportunity to get to know you all better. Lastly, Mr. Gerry’s class assembly was fantastic! Although I missed the beginning, it was a true joy to witness the learners’ presentation on the theme of being unique. The learners were simply brilliant!

Thank you once again for your continued support, and I look forward to all the exciting things ahead.
