Mr. James Weekly Reflection
Dear Nadeen Family,
And that’s a wrap for Term 1!
What an incredible term it has been, and I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone who has made it so special. Firstly, to our fantastic team, thank you for your hard work, creativity, and unwavering dedication. You make Nadeen such a joy to lead, and I feel truly fortunate to work alongside such an amazing crew. To our families, thank you for your ongoing support, encouragement, and the wonderful moments we’ve shared this term. Together, we continue to grow a truly special community.
A huge congratulations to Jessica McConnell, who won our HPL Wolf Pack competition! The announcement was made over the school tannoy today by our Primary Assistant Principal, Ms. Lauren. Of course, Ms. Lauren’s voice carries so well that the tannoy might not have been entirely necessary!
The last two weeks have been filled with memorable events that captured the spirit of Nadeen. From singing carols around the island to our festive fair, the joy and enthusiasm have been infectious. Yesterday, we wrapped up the term with outstanding displays of talent, including a spectacular performance from our very first cheerleading crew. A massive well done to all involved! Special thanks to Ms. Kate, Ms. Monique, Ms. Jade, Mr. Tom, Mr. Chris, Ms. Emma, Mr. Ben, the Friends of Nadeen, and everyone who contributed to making these events a success. You are all truly amazing individuals.
Yesterday, we also celebrated Bahrain National Day, and I must say, I’ve never seen Nadeen so vibrant and colourful. The costumes were fantastic, and it was a wonderful way to honour this beautiful country we call home. Today, the festive cheer continued as staff donned their holiday outfits, even our school dogs, Arnie and Mr. Paul’s little friend Ernie, joined in on the fun! It’s been heartwarming to see how much our learners enjoy having them in school, showing such empathy and love towards them.
Finally, it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Ms. Carrie, who has been with us as a consultant since the start of the year. Carrie’s impact has been nothing short of spectacular, and she has truly embodied the ‘Nadeen Way’ in everything she’s done. Having known Carrie for years, I am lucky to call her both a colleague and a friend. While we joke about her ability to use ten words where one would suffice, every word she speaks comes straight from the heart. My daughter once said, “Ms. Carrie’s heart is as wide as the sky,” and I couldn’t agree more. Working with her has been an absolute privilege, and I will always treasure those moments.
As we head into the festive holiday, I wish you all a season filled with love, laughter, and happiness. Have a wonderful break, and I look forward to seeing you all in Term 2!
Warmest regards,
Mr. James Batts
Nadeen School Principal
